Letter I: From Julie

Hi, my name is Julie. All I can say is this stuff REALLY works !!! It's a miracle. I am 32 years old I have 3 little girls, 2 step-sons, a farm and a full time job. I simply don't have time to be sick. I have had fibromyalgia for around 8 years but I was only diagnosed 2 years ago.

I had no idea what was wrong with me. I was also diagnosed with osteoporosis 3 years ago. My fibromyalgia has gotten really bad the last 2 years. I have tried cymbalta and lyrica and they did help some with the pain. It seemed to help "lubricate" my trigger points, if that makes sense. My pain didn't go away just eased up.

My brain fog has been bad for months and my energy level is completely gone on most days. I cannot afford my medication even with my insurance so I decided to try Ezorb.

I have been taking it for 10 days and I feel amazing !!! Two days later taking it my brain fog disappeared. I am sleeping better and when I wake up I don't feel like I have been hit by a truck.

I started out taking 3 tsp of powder in the morning and 3 tsp at night. I am also taking 2 more teaspoons in the afternoon, it seems to keep me from getting worn out by late afternoon. Although, it says fibromyalgia patients should not take it in the afternoon I do feel better if I take it in the afternoon as well. I don't feel tired at all.

I was skeptical of ezorb but I figured with a money back guarantee, why not try it. I am now a believer. I just ordered my second bottle of powder and I am telling all my co-workers and family they should try it too.

I could not believe after 4 days of taking 4 tsp. a day of Ezorb my right hip, which already was diagnosed with osteopenia, stopped hurting.

The doctor had prescribed Fosomax but after reading the side effects I decided not to take it. So I was taking 1200 mg. of calcium a day. I thought there could be something to help prevent getting to osteoporosis so I googled it and BAM your advertisement came out. I read it and sent for 2 bottles.

As soon as I got them I started taking it and now I can sleep without any pain on my hip and leg. Thank you very much.

Hi, my name is Randy S. I know I haven't used to specifications. Yet it seems to have helped with my heel spurs a 1-2 years ago.

I have been taking ezorb and some other herbs and vitamins for hip pain for about 6 wks now, taking recommended dosage about 12 teaspoons daily. Right now I am using powder and tablets.

The surgeon says I need 1 hip replacement asap. But I will continue on ezorb. So far it seems to be working.

Thanks
Randy

Hi, my name is Liane. My friend recommended I try ezorb. I have celiacs disease and have been malnourished for probably 20years. My hair has not grown since I was a teenager.

I started taking Ezorb because I had a heel spur and could hardly walk, my heel spur is gone, but I couldn't believe it my hair started growing! My skin feels better and my overall health is improving.

Thank you sooooo much for this supplement. My body is able to absorb nutrients now. This product will also help those who have Celiacs too!

Sincerely,
Liane

2. Research News: Chocolate Good for Your Heart

Chocolate and cocoa consumption may have beneficial effects on cardiovascular (CV) health, research suggests.

The findings arise from a systematic review of 42 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that assigned participants to chocolate, cocoa, or cocoa flavan-3-ols, in comparison with a control group, in acute or short-term chronic interventions.

"To our knowledge, this is the first systematic review to comprehensively assess the overall effects and validity of the available RCT data on chocolate or cocoa on a range of important CV disease risk factors," comment the authors.

Specifically, they investigated the effects on the classic modifiable Framingham risk measures: systolic and diastolic blood pressure, and total, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. In addition, the team examined other independent predictors of CV disease risk, including fasting glucose and insulin.

A total of 1297 participants were included in the analysis, and all trials had a duration of 18 weeks or less.

Twenty-one interventions involved cocoa drinks, while dark or milk chocolate was used in 15. Cocoa supplements were used in three, solid chocolate plus cocoa drinks in two, and a whole diet including cocoa powder and chocolate, where all foods were provided, in one.

Lee Hooper (University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK) and co-investigators report marginally significant improvements in LDL (-0.07 mmol/L [-2.70 mg/dL]) and HDL (0.03 mmol/L [1.16 mg/dL]) cholesterol after the chocolate and cocoa interventions.

Insulin resistance was also significantly improved (homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance [HOMA-IR] -0.67), due to significant reductions in serum insulin.

Flow-mediated dilation (FMD) improved after chronic and acute intakes (1.34 and 3.19%, respectively), and, the authors note, significantly improved regardless of the dose consumed. The team also observed reductions in diastolic blood pressure (-1.60 mmHg) and mean arterial pressure (-1.64 mmHg).

In analyses examining the impact of duration, effects on most outcomes were greatest in acute and in the shortest chronic studies (less than 3 weeks), note Hooper et al. Interestingly, however, beneficial effects on HDL cholesterol were greater in longer-term trials.

"Larger, longer-duration, and independently funded trails are required to confirm the potential cardiovascular benefits of cocoa flavan-3-ols," the team concludes in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Original research was published in Am J Clin Nutr 2012; Advance online publication.
